Check My Phone

A guided eSIM check — honest about what a browser can and cannot know.

Is the phone carrier-locked?
Can you find an EID number in settings?
Does it have a physical SIM slot?
Do you need dual SIM (keeping your home SIM active)?

Verify on iPhone

  1. Settings → General → About — scroll to find "EID". If an EID is listed, the hardware supports eSIM.
  2. Settings → Cellular (or Mobile Service) — look for "Add eSIM" / "Add Cellular Plan".
  3. Settings → General → About → Carrier Lock — should say "No SIM restrictions".
  4. Phones sold in mainland China (and some in Hong Kong/Macao) may not support eSIM — check the EID first.

Verify on Android

  1. Settings → Connections / Network & Internet → SIM manager — look for "Add eSIM" or "Download a SIM".
  2. Dial *#06# — if an EID appears alongside the IMEI, the hardware supports eSIM.
  3. Settings → About phone — confirm the model and check it is not carrier-locked.
  4. eSIM support varies by manufacturer, region and even carrier firmware — when in doubt, verify in the SIM manager.
